Where to find the best croissants in North Sydney

In honour of National Croissant Day on the 30th January, we've rounded up six local venues serving up everyone's favourite flaky and buttery French pastry!

croissant

LouLou

61 Lavender Street McMahons Point

Milsons Point's LouLou boulangerie experts definitely know how to make a croissant… It takes three days for head chef Brendan Woodward to perfect each batch of croissants and he always uses premium French butter for maximum flavour and flakiness. Get them hot out of the oven from 7am, seven days a week.

I Love Butter

49B Spofforth Street Mosman

Head baker Sophia Ly is passionate about all things pastry. Opt for the classic croissant or a flaky, almond packed version to pair with your morning coffee. I Love Butter also offer croissant packs to bake at home - you don’t even have to leave the house! Monday-Friday 6-2:30pm, Saturday 6-2pm, Sunday 6:30-1pm.

Le 76 Patisserie

202-212 Military Road Neutral Bay

NB locals agree that nothing beats a croissant and piping hot coffee from Le 76 Patisserie. Head chef Jean Marc hails from Normandy and has 35 years of French dessert expertise. Le 76 also bakes almond and chocolate croissants and a range of other French delicacies. Enjoy them from 7-4pm Monday to Friday and 7-3:30pm Saturday and Sunday.

Crescent Croissantarie

2/134 Willoughby Road Crows Nest

Crows Nest newbies Crescent Croissanterie have quickly become popular for their dirty chocolate croissants - melt in-your-mouth pastries topped with gooey chocolate and dusted with cocoa powder. In the past, their specials menu has featured Earl Grey custard, lemon glaze and yuzu peel and savoury camembert packed croissants. Delicious! See what’s on the menu between 7-3pm Wednesday-Friday and 8-3pm Saturday-Sunday.

Maggios Bakery

457 Miller Street Cammeray

Walking into Maggios, you’ll be greeted with shelves of freshly baked bread and crispy, sweet pastries… But nothing beats their classic croissant. It’s the perfect ratio of butter to crunch and you can tuck in daily between 6-3pm Friday-Wednesday and 6-4pm Thursday.

St Honore Bakery

2/40 Miller Street North Sydney

St Honore is a small, no-frills bakery right in the heart of North Sydney. You always know their classic croissants will be flaky, golden and baked to perfection! 6-4 Monday-Friday, 6-3:30pm Saturday and 6-3 Sunday.
